Sacheon-si Forms Task Force Team to Prevent Jeonse Fraud 피해
Eight Participants Including Police Officers, Appraisers, and Licensed Realtors
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sacheon City in Gyeongnam announced on the 30th that it has formed a "Jeonse Fraud Prevention Task Force (TF) Team" to prevent tenant damages caused by jeonse fraud such as empty-can jeonse.
As the local jeonse rate exceeded 90.1%, indicating a high risk of empty-can jeonse, the city started operating the TF team consisting of eight members including police officers, appraisers, and licensed real estate agents.
The TF team will identify the specific realities of jeonse fraud damages and gather opinions and prepare measures to prevent real estate transaction accidents.
Along with filing complaints against suspects of jeonse fraud, the team will provide various support for victims, including linking them to counseling centers for prompt relief.
On this day, the TF team conducted guidance and inspections on overall brokerage operations, focusing on licensed real estate offices in large apartment complexes, checking verification of brokerage objects, preparation, delivery and storage of explanatory documents, excess brokerage fees, and posting of notices.
A city official urged, "To prevent empty-can jeonse and jeonse fraud damages, please thoroughly ensure that citizens' property rights are protected by actively encouraging subscription to the jeonse deposit return guarantee insurance at an appropriate jeonse rate."
