The event was attended by members of the Saenghwal Gaeseonhoe (Life Improvement Association), Nongchon Jidojahoe (Rural Leaders Association), and 4-H Federation, who are engaged in various activities to promote agricultural technology development and enhance farmers' rights.
The attending members pledged to practice carbon neutrality through a resolution and emphasized active efforts and cooperation.
They vowed, “We will participate in achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 to create sustainable agriculture and rural communities in response to the climate crisis.”
Following the carbon neutrality resolution, the event included awards for contributors who led the development of Sancheong agriculture and the unity of learning group members, a lecture on ‘Happy Agriculture and Rural Leadership Activities,’ and a special lecture on ‘Carbon Neutral Agriculture in Response to Climate Change’ by Professor Lee Chun-jin of Kyung Hee University.
