Wando Marine Healing Products Receive High Praise at the '2022 Local Contents Festa'

[Wando=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Kyungpil] Marine healing products such as Wando Marine Healing and Wando Seaweed Mud Pack received great response at the ‘2022 Local Contents Festa’.

The ‘2022 Local Contents Festa’ was held for four days from November 25 to 28 at the multipurpose hall of the Kim Dae-jung Convention Center in Gwangju, hosted by KBC Gwangju Broadcasting and Local Autonomy TV.

Wando County set up a promotional booth for ‘Marine Healing Wando’ to promote its key project, the marine healing industry, introducing the marine healing industry and promoting the Wando Marine Healing Center, which will begin pilot operation from May 2023, the currently operating Marine Culture Healing Center, and the programs of Cheongsan Marine Healing Park.

In particular, 400 samples of the Wando Seaweed Mud Pack and Wando Yuzu Sports Cream, which will be used at the Wando Marine Healing Center, were prepared for experience, and they were so popular that they were sold out through word of mouth.

After the experience, 152 people (59 men, 93 women) participated in the survey. The age distribution of the survey participants was evenly spread from their 20s to 50s, with 13 people in their 60s and 5 people aged 70 or older, showing interest in marine healing products even among the elderly.

The satisfaction survey showed that 80.2% of respondents were satisfied compared to existing products, indicating that greater satisfaction is expected when the products are fully used at the Wando Marine Healing Center in the future.

Visitors were surprised that marine healing products using mud and yuzu from Wando were developed, and gave various opinions such as, “It seems more reliable and better because it is made with Wando yuzu and seaweed,” and “I hope to meet the products soon.”

An Hwan-ok, the marine healing officer, said, “I was surprised by the high satisfaction even though these were sample products,” and added, “We will carefully prepare to develop safer and more effective products to be used at the Marine Healing Center.”

Meanwhile, the county is currently accelerating preparations to pilot operate the Wando Marine Healing Center in line with the Jeonnam Sports Festival and Jeonnam Disabled Sports Festival to be held in May next year.
