Samsung Heavy Industries Secures Additional LNG Ship Orders... Achieves 107% of Annual Target
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Hyung-gil] Samsung Heavy Industries announced on the 30th that it has signed a construction contract for one LNG carrier with an Oceania region shipowner. The contract amount is 331.3 billion KRW, and delivery is scheduled by December 2025.
With this order, Samsung Heavy Industries has increased its record for the highest number of LNG carriers ordered in a single year to 36 vessels. This accounts for 73% of the total 49 vessels ordered this year.
