[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Choi] Majed Al-Hogail, Minister of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing of Saudi Arabia, and his delegation visited Naver 1784, the world's first robot-friendly building, on the 29th.
The visit included a total of 23 people, including Minister Majed Al-Hogail and Vice Minister Ali Rajhi. This visit by the Saudi Arabian side to Naver 1784 was triggered by Naver's visit to Saudi Arabia in early November as part of 'One Team Korea' along with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and domestic companies. Naver is currently competing to win the contract for Saudi Arabia's smart city construction project, 'NEOM City.'
At the event, Seonju Chae, Head of Naver ESG and External Policy, Sangok Seok, CEO of Naver Labs, and Yuwon Kim, CEO of Naver Cloud, attended. They demonstrated digital twin, robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), cloud, and data center-related technologies applied in the second office building 1784 and introduced Naver's various mobile service planning and development capabilities. Discussions also continued on how to solve urban issues such as transportation, security, sanitation management, and housing/building management, which the Saudi Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing is concerned about, through digital technology.
