[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] The National Integration Committee and the Small and Medium Business Ombudsman (vice ministerial level) signed a memorandum of understanding at the Government Seoul Office on the morning of the 29th, agreeing to mutually cooperate on various institutional improvements to resolve difficulties faced by small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and small business owners.
Attending the signing ceremony were Kim Han-gil, Chairman of the National Integration Committee, Choi Jae-chun, Chairman of the Planning Subcommittee, and Park Ju-bong, Small and Medium Business Ombudsman. Through this agreement, the two organizations plan to cooperate on regulatory improvements related to business activities, resolving difficulties and institutional improvements, alleviating hardships of SMEs, mid-sized enterprises, and small business owners, as well as cooperation and information exchange concerning national integration.
Since the launch of the Special Committee for Win-Win Cooperation between Large and Small-Medium Enterprises in September, the National Integration Committee has been preparing policy proposals to build a win-win cooperation ecosystem and improve unreasonable systems and practices. The Small and Medium Business Ombudsman is a specialized institution responsible for resolving regulatory improvements for SMEs and mid-sized enterprises.
The Integration Committee and the Ombudsman expect that this agreement will create a synergy effect by practically and effectively resolving the difficulties of SMEs, mid-sized enterprises, and small business owners, and laying the foundation for national integration.
