Naju City Introduces 'Online Application and Direct Delivery System' for Volume-Based Waste Bags
[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do announced on the 28th that it will establish a garbage volume-based fee bag sales center in the first half of next year and introduce an ‘online application and direct delivery system’ to facilitate the purchase and transportation for sales points.
The city will improve the current method of directly selling garbage volume-based fee bags at the existing eup, myeon, and dong administrative welfare centers. Starting from the first half of next year, sales store owners will be able to order by ‘phone or online’ without visiting in person, and the city will ‘directly deliver’ the bags to the sales points.
This change in the supply method of garbage volume-based fee bags is the first since the implementation of the ‘garbage fee volume-based system’ in 1995, and it is expected to greatly improve convenience for about 570 bag sales points including local marts and convenience stores.
Until now, sales store owners had to visit the administrative welfare centers during business hours to purchase and receive the bags and then transport them to their stores, which was a complicated process.
Above all, female and elderly store owners faced great difficulties in transporting large quantities of bags, but this inconvenience is expected to be resolved with the delivery service starting next year.
The city is currently developing a dedicated web site to establish the online application and delivery system in the first half of next year.
By using the internet, sales points will be able to order the quantity of volume-based fee bags anytime without being restricted by administrative welfare center business hours, complete payment in a one-stop process, and receive delivery to their stores.
The management of sales performance and inventory quantity of volume-based fee bags will also switch from the previously cumbersome manual ledger to a computerized system, improving the efficiency of order, sales, and inventory management.
Mayor Yoon Byung-tae said, “Starting next year, we are drastically reforming the bag supply system so that store owners do not have to visit the administrative welfare centers to purchase volume-based fee bags, but can apply, pay, and receive in a one-stop manner via phone or online.”
He added, “We will continue to promote efficient public administration through bold improvements to systems and policies that cause inconvenience from the citizens’ perspective.”
