Baemin Delivery Robot 'Dilly Tower' Delivers Coffee Up to the 55th Floor of Trade Tower
Woowa Brothers Participates in Teheran-ro Robot Street Project
Robots Deliver Food Between COEX Mall and Trade Tower
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] The indoor delivery robot 'Dilly Tower,' developed by Woowa Brothers, will deliver food between COEX Mall and Trade Tower in Samseong-dong, Seoul.
Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baedal Minjok, announced on the 28th that it has launched an indoor robot delivery service as part of the 'Teheran-ro Robot Street Creation Project,' a consortium project involving Seoul City, Gangnam-gu, and others.
The robot delivery service targets the Trade Tower office, which has 55 floors above ground and 2 basement levels, with approximately 3,600 residents. Office workers can receive menu items from stores without having to travel to the underground COEX Mall, which can take up to 30 minutes, directly in their offices.
Orders are placed through the 'Robot Delivery' category in the Baedal Minjok application (app). When the app is launched within the Trade Center, the robot delivery category appears, and after selecting the store and menu and entering the office floor and room number, the order is completed. Currently, menus from six stores offering simple food and beverages such as coffee, desserts, and sandwiches are available for delivery.
Delivery status updates, such as departure and arrival, can be received via KakaoTalk, and similar to the Baemin1 service, the robot's real-time location can be tracked on the COEX Mall map.
Dilly Tower is an indoor delivery robot equipped with autonomous driving technology. It is linked with entry gates and elevators, allowing it to move freely within complex buildings without human assistance. Woowa Brothers have been refining the service by conducting pilot operations of Dilly Tower in various spaces such as apartments and hotels.
