[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daehyun] In Brazil, a teenage boy wearing symbols of Nazi Germany opened fire at a school, resulting in 3 deaths and 13 injuries.
On the 26th (local time), according to AFP, local authorities reported that a 16-year-old male went on a shooting spree at two schools in Aracruz city, Esp?rito Santo state, the day before.
The suspect first stormed into the Primo State School, attended by elementary and middle school students, and fired multiple shots, injuring four people. Moving to the teachers' office, the suspect fired nine shots, killing two teachers.
He then immediately drove to Praia de Coqueiral Private School and started shooting again, killing one teenage female student. The shooter fled by car after the attack but was apprehended by police four hours later. It was reported that he attended the public school where the incident occurred.
The police stated, "There are 13 injured, but the number may increase." Among the injured, nine are teachers. The shooter is the son of an active-duty police officer, and the two pistols used in the crime were reportedly previously used by his father.
Video footage obtained by Brazilian media shows the shooter dressed in camouflage clothing similar to military uniform. It was reported that his clothes bore the Nazi symbol, the swastika, at the time of the attack.
Renato Casagrande, governor of Esp?rito Santo, said, "Some survivors are in critical condition, and we hope they recover quickly," adding that the shooter had been receiving treatment for poor mental health.

The police are investigating indications that the shooter had been planning the attack for at least two years and are also examining possible connections to extremist groups.
