Amid rising resignation rates among new public officials with less than three years of service each year, the mayor personally stepped forward to engage in sincere communication with MZ generation public officials.
On this day, Mayor Kim candidly shared his own experiences in public service and emphasized the image of a ‘creative public official with expertise.’
The training, designed to help new public officials adapt to the organization and form proper public service values, included ▲business manners and etiquette ▲a tour of LG Arts Center ▲and practical training in personnel affairs.
Mayor Kim said, “I understand there are many difficulties due to aspects different from your expectations upon entering public service,” adding, “Even if it is tough, do not be discouraged, and if you develop your own expertise in your position, good opportunities will surely come.”
He continued, “I will frequently create opportunities for communication so that you can adapt well to public service life and be a reliable support for you.”
Meanwhile, Mayor Kim is striving to break the existing vertical and rigid public service culture and create a good environment where public officials can carry out administrative innovation and proactive administration suited to the rapidly changing administrative environment.
