[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Minjae] The Korea Institute for Small and Medium Venture Business (KISMV) announced that on the 24th at 2 p.m., it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for "Regional Economic Status Analysis and Operation of Regional SME Crisis Response System" with the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service and the Korea Technopark Promotion Agency at Sotetsu Hotels The Sprazir Myeongdong.
Utilizing the industrial accident and employment insurance status indicators from the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service, KISMV will contribute to revitalizing the regional economy through data analysis, while the Korea Technopark Promotion Agency will join efforts to establish a crisis response system for regional SMEs.
Oh Dong-yoon, President of KISMV, said, "Through this tripartite agreement, I hope that the strengths and infrastructure possessed by the three institutions will be actively utilized to conduct research that considers the characteristics of companies and the regional economic situation," adding, "We will closely cooperate to create objective and highly accurate regional SME policies based on data in the future."
Kang Soon-hee, Director of the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service, stated, "Based on the big data held by the Service, we will spare no support in producing outcomes for regional SMEs through public-private cooperation," and added, "Especially, as the new government's top national agenda is the full recovery and new leap forward of small business owners and self-employed persons affected by COVID-19, the Korea Workers' Compensation and Welfare Service will do its best."
