Jeonnam Provincial Assembly Member Park Hyung-dae Proposes Partial Amendment to the Living Wage Ordinance as Lead Sponsor
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jun-kyung] The ordinance on the operation of investment and contribution institutions of the Jeonnam Office of Education, proposed by Park Seong-jae, a Jeonnam Provincial Assembly member (Independent, Haenam 2), passed the Education Committee review of the Jeonnam Provincial Assembly on the 23rd.
This ordinance stipulates matters delegated by the "Act on the Operation of Investment and Contribution Institutions of Local Governments" and its enforcement decree, as well as necessary matters for its implementation.
The ordinance requires the heads of investment and contribution institutions to operate the minimum necessary organizations and personnel for management rationalization, and allows the Jeonnam Superintendent of Education to enable these institutions to undertake projects within the budget scope.
Additionally, when the Jeonnam Superintendent of Education dismisses or requests the dismissal of executives of investment and contribution institutions, compliance with relevant laws must be verified, and management performance can be evaluated including the basic direction of management diagnosis and utilization of results.
Assembly member Park Seong-jae said, "Institutions invested and contributed by local governments must be operated rationally for the welfare of local residents and the development of the regional economy," adding, "The principle of equal employment under the operation law of investment and contribution must be applied, and appointment rights should be transparent."

This ordinance, having passed the standing committee, is scheduled to be approved at the plenary session of the 367th Jeonnam Provincial Assembly's 2nd regular meeting on the 9th of next month.
