Heungkuk Life Insurance Conducts 'Suspicious Money Laundering Transaction Reporting Campaign'
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Heungkuk Life Insurance announced on the 22nd that it will conduct a ‘Suspicious Transaction Reporting Campaign for Money Laundering’ until the 30th of this month. This campaign was planned to raise awareness among employees about illegal financial transactions and money laundering.
This year, Heungkuk Life Insurance has been strengthening its capabilities to prevent money laundering by enhancing suspicious transaction monitoring at branches and other sites, providing specialized training related to job characteristics, and supporting employees in obtaining relevant certifications.
As part of these efforts, this campaign is designed to educate employees on the Suspicious Transaction Reporting system (STR) and encourage them to voluntarily report suspicious transactions suspected of being related to money laundering.
The reporting targets include ▲transactions processed this year that show signs of suspicious activity ▲transactions suspected of involving illegal elements in the source or formation of funds ▲transactions suspected of tax evasion or embezzlement, among others.
Through active monitoring, exemplary employees who report suspicious transactions will be selected and awarded, aiming to promote voluntary participation and raise awareness of the importance of illegal financial transactions and reporting.
