Gwangju Buk-gu Selected as the Only Autonomous District Nationwide for Excellence in Administrative Informatization Promotion

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju City announced on the 22nd that it was selected as an excellent institution for the operation and improvement of the local administrative common system and received the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award, the only autonomous district nationwide to do so.

This award is given by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety to organizations and individuals who have contributed to the stable operation and continuous improvement of administrative information systems and common infrastructure equipment among local governments nationwide.

Accordingly, Buk-gu was recognized for its pioneering efforts in administrative informatization, including stable operation of administrative information systems, promotion of digital transformation of tasks, and provision of resident convenience information based on data, and received the Minister's Award.

In particular, the operation of the Dong Living Complaint Reporting Center utilizing the functions of the administrative information system and the establishment of a smart face-to-face reporting system were highly evaluated as cases of improved work processing efficiency and budget savings.

Additionally, through various projects such as ▲ big data analysis and provision ▲ establishment of a reservation system on the district homepage ▲ construction and operation of cloud storage ▲ activation of video conferencing systems ▲ operation of resident informatization education programs, administrative informatization was advanced and various conveniences were provided to residents.

Director Moon said, “This award is the result of all staff members' efforts to improve and activate the functions of the administrative information system to enhance administrative work efficiency,” and added, “We will continue to strive to become a leading autonomous district in the field of informatization through ongoing efforts.”
