Ruling and Opposition Parties Agree to Submit Appointment Consent Proposal
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jun-yi] The ruling and opposition parties have agreed to submit the appointment consent bill for Supreme Court Justice nominee Oh Seok-jun to the plenary session of the National Assembly on the 24th for approval voting.
A floor leader from the Democratic Party of Korea stated in a phone call with Asia Economy on the 21st, "The floor leaders of both parties have decided to submit the appointment consent bill for nominee Oh to the plenary session on the 24th."
The National Assembly confirmation hearing for nominee Oh was held on August 29, but the appointment consent bill was not submitted to the plenary session and has since been delayed for the longest period in history.
