Government Official at National Gugak Center Arrested in the Act for Threatening Supervisor with a Knife
40s Public Official Booked on Special Threat Charges
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] A Grade 6 public official working at the National Gugak Center located in Seocho-gu, Seoul, was arrested by the police on charges of threatening a superior with a weapon.
On the 21st, the Seocho Police Station in Seoul announced that they arrested a man in his 40s, Mr. A, on the spot on the 14th at around 2:30 PM on charges of special intimidation and are currently investigating.
Mr. A is accused of threatening his superior, Mr. B, with a knife he took out from a drawer when Mr. B entered the office. The knife is known to have been purchased online for leisure purposes. It has been reported that Mr. B's life is not in danger.
