Samsung Fire & Marine, No.1 in Online Interest for Q3... Hyundai Marine & DB Insurance Follow
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] A survey of online interest from the media and users regarding 10 domestic non-life insurance companies in the third quarter of this year revealed that 'Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance' ranked first.
According to data from the polling agency Data & Research on the 19th, a survey was conducted on the total number of online posts about domestic non-life insurance companies across 230,000 sites on 12 channels including news, blogs, cafes, and YouTube from July to September. Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance ranked first with 63,916 posts. The volume of information about Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance in the third quarter increased by 20.06% compared to 53,238 posts in the same period last year.
In September, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance attracted attention from users with many pet dogs by launching a new long-term pet insurance product for dogs called ‘Wipungdaengdaeng’. Wipungdaengdaeng allows customers to choose coverage not only for their dogs but also for the risks faced by the pet owners, including severe injury disability, injury surgery costs, injury hospitalization daily allowance, and fracture diagnosis fees.
Following that, Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance ranked second with 60,403 posts. This is a 34.25% increase compared to 44,994 posts in the third quarter of last year.
In September, Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance significantly expanded its digital healthcare services, which were mainly provided to the MZ generation, to include the elderly, professionally offering healthcare services to seniors and thereby attracting the attention of MZ generation users.
DB Insurance recorded 40,767 posts in the same quarter, ranking third. This represents a 47.09% increase compared to 27,715 posts in the third quarter of last year, marking the highest growth rate among the big four in terms of interest.
In September, DB Insurance partnered with Ames to support precise inspection and automated processing of foreign car parts, announcing efforts to reduce customers' insurance premium burdens, which attracted the attention of users interested in financial management.
KB Insurance ranked fourth with 33,832 posts. This is a 43.88% increase compared to 23,531 posts in the third quarter of last year, ranking second in growth rate among the big four.
In September, KB Insurance introduced the 'KB Caregiving Insurance That Supports You', a caregiving insurance product with affordable premiums and extended coverage without additional premium payments if no accidents occur. This product received significant attention during the COVID-19 period. It features coverage extension up to age 100 without additional premiums if no major illnesses occur until age 85.
