This MOU was signed during the visit of the Uzbekistan delegation, including the director of Inno Technopark, to Gyeongbuk TP on the 16th. Deputy Minister Olimjon Tuishev of the Innovation Development Department noted that Gyeongbuk Technopark had achieved the highest national level in institutional management evaluation for two consecutive years and requested the visit.
The visit of the Uzbekistan delegation is especially meaningful as a return visit following the visit of Gyeongbuk Governor Lee Cheol-woo and Gyeongbuk Technopark Director Ha In-seong to Uzbekistan in August, where they visited the Innovation Development Department and Inno Technopark and promised mutual cooperation.
On that day, together with Deputy Minister Tuishev, various measures to foster startups in innovative industries such as IT, materials, and bio, and to activate exchanges of personnel and companies were discussed. To continue cooperation in the future, a tripartite MOU was signed among the Uzbekistan delegation, the Daegu·Gyeongbuk LINC3.0 Project Council, and Gyeongbuk Technopark.
Deputy Minister Olimjon Tuishev said, “I have great interest in the Korean-style Technopark model represented by Gyeongbuk Technopark,” and added, “It was a very valuable time to see firsthand the facilities, operational know-how, and success strategies of Gyeongbuk Technopark on site.”
