Hankook Tire Donates Funds for Children Injured in Hyangrimwon Traffic Accident
Donation Funds and Contributions from Executives and Employees
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Hankook Tire & Technology (Hankook Tire) announced on the 17th that it has donated funds to Hyangrimwon, a child care facility.
The donation was delivered the day before at Hyangrimwon in Chubu-myeon, Geumsan-gun, Chungnam Province, attended by Vivian Choi, director of Hyangrimwon, Hun Lee, fundraising project manager of the Chungnam Community Chest of Korea, and Sungguk Cho, executive director in charge of manufacturing at Hankook Tire. The funds were raised to support the medical expenses of children at Hyangrimwon who were injured in a traffic accident caused by a passenger car that veered onto the sidewalk due to drowsy driving on the 25th of last month in the Chubu-myeon area of Geumsan-gun, Chungnam Province.
The at-fault driver only had liability insurance, making it difficult for the victims to cover hospital bills. Hankook Tire donated a total of 14,854,000 KRW, including a 10 million KRW donation and an additional 4,854,000 KRW voluntarily collected by employees of Hankook Tire’s Geumsan plant.
