This year, the total purchase volume of public stockpiled rice in Gumi City is 4,755 tons (118,881 bags/40kg, 673 tons of fresh paddy, 4,082 tons of dried paddy).
The 637 tons of fresh paddy, which began purchasing from October 14, was purchased until the 10th of this month, and the purchase of dried paddy starting from November 15 will be conducted at designated locations according to the regional purchase schedule, maintaining a moisture content of 13~15% at the time of shipment.
All dried paddy will be purchased in large bags (bags/800kg), and the city is providing all purchase bags by supporting 90 million KRW for fertilizer expenses.
The purchased varieties are two types: Ilpum rice and Haedam rice. This year's purchase price will be paid at the end of December, calculated based on the nationwide average farm-gate rice price during the harvest season (October to December) converted to rough rice (40kg), and an interim settlement payment (30,000 KRW) will be paid immediately after purchase.
