The 1st International Semiconductor Conference ‘KISM 2022’ Held in Busan
November 13-16 Paradise Hotel to Host Presentation of Over 360 Outstanding Papers in Technology, Materials, Components, and Equipment Fields
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Busan City will host the first-ever international semiconductor academic conference, ‘KISM 2022’ (Korean International Semiconductor Conference on Manufacturing Technology 2022), organized by the Korean Semiconductor Display Technology Society (President Jaegun Park), from the 13th to the 16th at the Paradise Hotel in Haeundae, Busan.
This conference, prepared to strengthen the global competitiveness of semiconductor manufacturing processes and materials, parts, and equipment technologies, will be held under the theme “Manufacturing Strategies for First Mover,” with over 600 industry, academia, and research experts from 15 countries around the world participating.
At this event, global semiconductor giants such as Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix will attend, and a total of about 360 excellent papers, including more than 55 papers from domestic and international industries, will be presented. It is expected to serve as a platform for sharing the latest research and manufacturing technology trends and for exchanging strategies to develop global semiconductor technology and strengthen a mutually beneficial ecosystem.
Hyungtak Jeon, Chair of ‘KISM 2022,’ stated, “Through this conference, we will present the technical direction that South Korea’s semiconductor manufacturing processes and materials, parts, and equipment industries should take,” and emphasized, “We will also strive to strengthen competitiveness by building a collaborative ecosystem among industry, academia, research, government, and between the metropolitan area and regions.”
