2023 Seoul Citizen University Volunteer-Citizen Master's Program New Student Recruitment
Transforming Experience into Social Knowledge and Giving Back to Society through a 200-Hour Training Program
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Volunteer Center announced on the 13th that it is recruiting new students for the second semester of 2023 for the ‘Seoul Citizen University Volunteer-Citizen Master's Program’ until the 29th.
The ‘Seoul Citizen University Volunteer-Citizen Master's Program’ is a course jointly operated from this year by the Seoul Volunteer Center and the Seoul Lifelong Education Promotion Institute’s Seoul Citizen University. It was established to socially give back the knowledge of experienced volunteers and to provide them with new recognition and encouragement. It is a one-year program consisting of a total of 200 hours of coursework, and upon completion and approval of the graduation project, students can obtain a Citizen Master's degree under the name of the Mayor of Seoul.
The Seoul Citizen University Volunteer-Citizen Master's Program offers growth opportunities for volunteers who have long dedicated themselves to their communities. The growth of volunteers who have led volunteer activities for a long time becomes a socially important asset that can positively drive regional change.
The 32 prospective master's students, who are about to graduate from the first cohort, have completed the entire curriculum and are preparing their graduation projects on the themes of ‘systematizing their volunteer experiences’ and ‘volunteering as a lifelong commitment.’
