The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 8th that it plans to conduct a 30-day winter safety inspection of construction sites nationwide from November 9 to December 20 to prevent accidents during the winter season.
Among construction sites across the country, a total of 1,222 inspectors from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, the Korea Infrastructure Safety & Technology Corporation, Korea Expressway Corporation, Korea Land and Housing Corporation, and the Korea Rail Network Authority will be deployed to inspect 2,460 prioritized sites.
The facilities subject to this inspection include various construction sites under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, such as buildings, railroads and subways, roads, residential sites, and airports.
In particular, inspections will focus on construction sites located in urban areas with high pedestrian traffic or where facilities are densely clustered near the construction site, emphasizing safety management measures around the site and the implementation of traffic safety facilities.
