Samsung Supports French Police and Firefighters with 'Ruggedized Smartphones and Tablets'
Airbus-Capgemini Consortium Selected as Partner
for French Public Safety Network Project

[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] Samsung Electronics will support network business devices and solutions to more than 400,000 public safety workers in France, including police officers and firefighters.
According to Samsung Electronics Newsroom on the 8th, the company was selected as a consortium partner formed by Airbus and Capgemini to supply devices and solutions for the "Public Safety Network (RRF) project" led by the French Ministry of the Interior and Overseas Territories.
This project, led by the French government, aims to implement a high-speed network for public safety to modernize communications in disaster management and defense sectors.
Through this partnership, Samsung Electronics plans to supply its ruggedized lineup, including the "Galaxy XCover6 Pro" smartphone and the "Galaxy Tab Active3" tablet, to approximately 400,000 public safety workers such as police, firefighters, and medical personnel. Samsung will also provide solutions for building the public safety network and participate in the implementation of future technology services led by the French government.
Samsung’s ruggedized devices are designed to withstand external shocks even in harsh environments. They enhance work productivity and durability to be useful in frontline police and firefighting operations.
Eric Davallo, Head of European Sales Programs at Airbus, said, "Security is a very demanding field," adding, "The partnership with Samsung, which possesses leading technology in the security sector, will bring innovation to public safety operations through advanced technology."
