[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] The Korea Insurance Development Institute announced that Heo Chang-eon was inaugurated as the 13th president of the institute on the 7th.
In his inaugural speech, President Heo stated, "The insurance industry is facing a complex crisis and a paradigm shift due to changes in both domestic and international environments," adding, "We will focus all the capabilities of the Insurance Development Institute to help the insurance industry find new avenues and achieve sustainable growth."

President Heo emphasized that for the Insurance Development Institute to leap forward as a global insurance specialized service organization centered on customers, it must provide customer-oriented insurance information services through change and innovation.
He also stated that it is necessary to support the digital transformation and growth of the insurance industry and provide comprehensive consulting services covering all aspects of insurance company operations.
