Marine Corps 6th Brigade Sergeant Found Dead with Gunshot Wound
"Investigating with No Suspicion of Homicide"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hee-jun] A non-commissioned officer was found dead from a gunshot wound at a Marine Corps unit on Socheongdo Island in the northern West Sea.
According to the Marine Corps 6th Brigade on the 7th, at around 5:55 a.m. that day, another unit member discovered Corporal A with a gunshot wound at the Marine Corps unit on Socheongdo Island, Ongjin-gun, Incheon. At the time of discovery, Corporal A was already deceased, and a K-2 rifle was reportedly found at the scene.
The military authorities believe there is no evidence that a third party intentionally shot Corporal A and are investigating the exact circumstances of the incident.
