[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo In-ho] The government expressed its welcome on the 7th for the recent ceasefire agreement between the Ethiopian government and the rebel group Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF).
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a spokesperson's statement on the day, saying, "We welcome the agreement to cease hostilities through dialogue between the Ethiopian government and TPLF, and we hope that the agreement will be implemented promptly so that peace in Ethiopia can be established quickly."
The Ministry added, "We appreciate the efforts of the African Union (AU) and the South African government regarding the peace negotiation agreement, and we will continue to make diplomatic efforts with the international community to ensure peace and stability in Ethiopia."
