Gwangju Buk-gu Holds Performance Presentation for Youth Safety Net Leading Project
Presentation of Support Achievements for At-Risk Youth Cultural and Leisure Activities: Clarinet and Flute Performance
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] On the 7th, Buk-gu, Gwangju announced that it will hold a performance presentation for the Youth Safety Net Leading Project on the 8th at the Sinandong Monastery Cathedral in collaboration with the Gwangju Male Youth Recovery Support Facility (Director Choi Kwangseop).
The Youth Safety Net Leading Project is a customized integrated service project that discovers at-risk youth and supports cultural and leisure activities linked with local resources to help them grow physically and emotionally stable and healthy.
Accordingly, in May, Buk-gu signed a business agreement with the Gwangju Male Youth Recovery Support Facility and the Gwangju Cello Orchestra Association, and has been supporting weekly instrument lessons such as clarinet and flute for nine youths from facilities including the Gwangju Male Youth Recovery Support Facility and Don Bosco Nanum House.
The performance presentation, under the theme "Beautiful Mistakes~! Youth Clarinet and Flute Concert," will showcase the performance skills that the youths have built through lessons and express gratitude to the sponsors.
Director Moon said, "We thank the local community for their unwavering support through this Youth Safety Net Leading Project to help at-risk youth grow into healthy members of society," and added, "We will continue to do our best to support various activities so that the youths of Buk-gu can freely pursue their dreams."
Meanwhile, the event will be held with about 100 attendees including Gwangju Family Court, Gwangju Male Youth Recovery Support Facility, the Sinandong Community of the Salesians of Don Bosco in Korea Foundation, the Gwangju Cello Orchestra Association, and sponsors, and will feature a sponsored performance by Don Bosco Nanum House and the Monastery.
