Gyeongnam Jeongbodae Nursing Department, Nightingale Pledge Ceremony
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The Department of Nursing at Gyeongnam Information University (President Kim Dae-sik) held the "12th Nightingale Oath Ceremony" on the 4th at the Miraegwan Global Convention Hall.
At the oath ceremony, 167 second-year nursing students pledged to inherit the spirit of Nightingale and dedicate their lives with love and service, taking their first step as prospective nurses.
The event, held face-to-face for the first time in three years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, included an encouragement speech by Gyeongnam Information University President Kim Dae-sik, a congratulatory address by Hwang Ji-won, President of the Busan Nursing Association, and a donation ceremony for the development fund of the Department of Nursing at Busan Goryeo Hospital.
Representatives of the oath-takers, students Kim Min-gap and Park Hye-yeon, said in unison, "Through the Nightingale Oath Ceremony, we will take responsibility and pride as medical professionals who protect the dignity of life."
Park Ui-jung, head of the Department of Nursing, proudly stated, "The Department of Nursing at Gyeongnam Information University boasts nine consecutive years of a 100% pass rate on the national nursing examination and a high employment rate, supported by high-quality education and state-of-the-art practical training environments."
