According to the city, the operation will start on the 9th, during the weekday peak commuting hours when citizen movement is high: from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the morning and from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the afternoon.
Any Mokpo citizen can use the service during these hours, and passengers only need to pay 1000 won per person, starting from elementary school students.
As a substitute for city buses, the rental taxis will operate along eight major city bus routes (No. 1, 1-A, 6, 9, 13, 15, 20, 60), and users must board and alight at bus stops.
The "1000-won rental taxi" can be identified by a flag attached to the back of the taxi (Mokpo City Emergency Transport Vehicle 1000-won Rental Taxi), and the service operates only within the business area; call systems such as Nangmancall and Kakao are not available.
