KT&G Bokji Foundation Supports 150 Compact Cars to Social Welfare Organizations Nationwide
Accumulated 2,100 Units Over 19 Years Since 2004
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] KT&G Welfare Foundation held a ‘Vehicle Delivery Ceremony for Social Welfare Institutions’ at the Changdong Comprehensive Social Welfare Center in Seoul and announced on the 7th that it has supported 150 compact cars to social welfare institutions nationwide.
Reflecting the field’s opinion that compact cars capable of navigating narrow alleyways are necessary due to the characteristics of welfare beneficiary areas, KT&G Welfare Foundation has been supporting compact cars annually since 2004. The total number of vehicles delivered to social welfare institutions nationwide has reached 2,100 as of this year.
In the vehicle support contest held in June, about 750 social welfare institutions nationwide, including comprehensive social welfare centers, welfare centers for the disabled, comprehensive senior welfare centers, and local children’s centers, participated. KT&G Welfare Foundation conducted a review and finally selected 150 institutions deemed to have the highest priority for support.
