Gyeonggi-do to Provide 1 Billion KRW Incentive for Cargo Attraction at Pyeongtaek Port
[Asia Economy (Pyeongtaek) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province will provide incentives to logistics companies that have attracted more than 1,000 TEU of cargo annually using Pyeongtaek Port or to shipping companies that have newly established or expanded routes.
Gyeonggi Province and Gyeonggi Pyeongtaek Port Authority announced on the 4th that they will provide 1 billion KRW in incentives to shipping companies, forwarders, and others using Pyeongtaek Port, and are accepting applications until the 30th.
This incentive support was prepared to revitalize Pyeongtaek Port by supporting shipping companies and forwarders facing difficulties due to the rising exchange rates and the Russia-Ukraine war.
Shipping companies or forwarder logistics companies wishing to receive incentives can visit the Pyeongtaek Port Authority website, fill out the application form, and submit it along with performance data.
The eligible recipients and payment amounts will be finalized in December.
