A Smart Farm is an intelligent form of agriculture that conveniently and efficiently manages the crop growth environment remotely and automatically using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to maintain optimal conditions.
The smart farm, occupying 360㎡ of idle space within Yongho Pier, will be equipped with facilities such as cultivation and control equipment buildings and plans to produce hydroponic ginseng and ginseng berries.
BPA and Kyungsung University will utilize the smart farm infrastructure research facility in the new curriculum of the Social Customized Industry-Academic-Research Cooperation Leading University Development Project (LINC 3.0 - Demand Customized Growth Type) and jointly research the discovery of social value realization models.
▲ Discovering new smart farm business models ▲ Securing future growth models for urban agriculture ▲ Contributing to the revitalization of the local economy, job creation, and added value through social return of crop sales revenue, thereby spreading the social value management culture of public institutions are expected outcomes.
