Hwasun-gun Promotes 'Goindol Village Landscape Improvement Project'

[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyuk-jun] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Bok-gyu) announced on the 2nd that it has been selected for the Jeollanam-do-led ‘Rural Village Landscape Improvement Contest Project.’

Following the selection for the contest project, the county plans to promote the ‘Dolmen Village Landscape Improvement Project’ in the Mosan Village area of Hyosan-ri, Dogok-myeon.

A total project cost of 500 million KRW (150 million KRW from the provincial government and 350 million KRW from the county government) is expected to be invested in this project, which is a rural village landscape improvement project linked to dolmen cultural resources.

Through the landscape improvement project in Mosan Village, Hyosan-ri, Dogok-myeon, the county plans to improve facilities that do not harmonize with the surroundings, such as concrete fences of old general houses and highly saturated roof colors.

A county official said, “Once the project is completed, it is expected to be reborn as a tourism infrastructure harmonizing with surrounding cultural resources such as the dolmen ruins, a World Cultural Heritage site, the World Megalith Theme Park, the Dolmen Prehistoric Experience Center, and the birthplace of lawyer Hong Nam-soon.”
