Kia Introduces Youth Career Counseling Program 'JinroSsaem'
Youth Program Providing Opportunities for Future Career Exploration and Counseling
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Kia announced on the 2nd that it will launch a youth career counseling program called 'Jinro Ssaem' that provides future career exploration and counseling opportunities for adolescents.
'Jinro Ssaem,' organized by the nonprofit Dream Connect and sponsored by Kia, is the fourth program of Kia's youth career education social contribution activity, 'Kia Inspiring Class.'
Kia Inspiring Class is a program designed to help adolescents who lack career experience opportunities and information to understand various occupational groups and provide opportunities for career exploration. This year, Kia conducted various career education contents such as 'Career Concert,' 'Future Tech Career Education,' and 'Pangyo Techno Valley Career Tour.'
The newly introduced 'Jinro Ssaem' is a counseling program utilizing the KakaoTalk platform, providing students with 1:1 phone and text counseling related to careers through the KakaoTalk Jinro Ssaem channel with teachers from the National Career and Academic Counseling Teachers Association.
Additionally, by linking information with the Ministry of Education's CareerNet, students can check various career-related information in real-time via chatbot, including admission information, university entrance screening, extracurricular activities, future jobs, and concerns about career and learning.
Furthermore, Kia plans to conduct special career counseling sessions every Wednesday in December, where Kia employees will participate remotely. Adolescents are expected to hear vivid stories from current professionals during counseling sessions with employees, which they usually cannot hear.
