Hyundai Motor, 347,324 Units Sold in October... 12.2% Increase YoY
Total of 60,736 Units Sold in Domestic Market
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 1st that it sold a total of 347,324 vehicles worldwide last month, including 60,736 units domestically and 286,588 units overseas. Compared to the same period last year, domestic sales increased by 5.1%, and overseas sales increased by 13.9%.
Hyundai sold 60,736 units in the domestic market last month, a 5.1% increase compared to the same month last year. Sedans sold a total of 17,266 units, including 4,661 units of Grandeur, 3,667 units of Ioniq 6, 3,323 units of Sonata, and 5,615 units of Avante.
For RVs, a total of 16,971 units were sold, including 4,147 units of Palisade, 2,722 units of Santa Fe, 2,169 units of Ioniq 5, 1,729 units of Tucson, and 3,908 units of Casper. Porter recorded sales of 9,020 units, Staria sold 3,461 units, and medium and large buses and trucks sold 2,727 units.
The premium brand Genesis sold a total of 11,291 units, including 2,818 units of G90, 3,082 units of G80, 1,945 units of GV80, 2,413 units of GV70, and 493 units of GV60.
Hyundai sold 286,588 units in overseas markets last month, a 13.9% increase compared to the same month last year.

A Hyundai official stated, “The difficult business environment continues due to the resurgence of COVID-19, rising raw material prices, interest rate hikes, and expanding inflation,” adding, “As the semiconductor parts supply shortage situation gradually recovers, we will expand market share and strengthen profitability by launching competitive new vehicles and optimizing production and sales strategies.”
