KOTRA Holds 'Korea-China Trend Forum and Consultation Meeting' in Shanghai
Exploring Opportunities for Domestic Companies to Enter the Chinese Market by Leveraging New Market Changes
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] The Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) held the 'Korea-China Trend Forum and Excellent Products Consultation Meeting' in Shanghai, China on the 1st. This event was held in connection with KOTRA's 'Export Plus' project, which is part of the government's export competitiveness enhancement strategy announced last August. It also served as a promotional exhibition for the 2030 Busan World Expo.
At the forum, there was a session to examine the newly changing Chinese edutech industry, inner beauty (a new cosmetics trend focusing on healthy skin from within), and mobile platforms in China's new retail sector. The event also included a time to learn about new changes in the Chinese employment market and the latest intellectual property infringement cases experienced by domestic companies entering the local market.
In the online 'Korea-China Business 1-on-1 Consultation Meeting' held this month, 150 domestic companies in related fields such as ▲edutech ▲medical bio ▲services will participate in line with the new trend changes in China.
Ouyang Ting, Deputy General Manager of the Chinese edutech company Bearing, said, "With the Double Reduction policy, the Chinese education industry is entering a new turning point, and excellent overseas edutech technologies and products are receiving more attention. Through this consultation meeting, we hope to continue technological cooperation with Korean companies." The Chinese government is implementing the Double Reduction policy to reduce homework and private tutoring burdens for elementary and middle school students during compulsory education, aiming to improve the quality of education.
