Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly Secretariat Chief's Position Changes from 'General to Open Type'
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Secretary-General of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly will be converted from a general position to an open position.
On the 31st, Gyeonggi Province announced the legislative notice of the "Partial Amendment to the Enforcement Rules of the Ordinance on the Establishment of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly Secretariat," which converts the Secretary-General of the Assembly Secretariat from a general position to an open position.
The Secretary-General of the Assembly Secretariat oversees the secretariat's work, which consists of 7 divisions and 13 expert committees, and has been held by a Grade 2 general civil servant until now. The current staff quota of the secretariat is 319 people.
The amended rules will be promulgated on the 3rd of next month after review by the Provincial Ordinance and Rules Deliberation Committee. The Provincial Assembly plans to start the recruitment process immediately after promulgation and appoint the open Secretary-General by the end of December.
