On the 31st, Goseong-gun officials, including Kim Kyung-sook, Director of the Culture and Environment Bureau, held a meeting at the office of National Assembly member Jeong Jeom-sik in Yeouido, Seoul, to report on major national funding projects and Goseong-gun’s local issues for 2023, and actively explained the necessity of securing national funds to reflect them in the 2023 government budget review.
Goseong-gun explained major projects such as ▲Construction of a Marine Healing Center (6 billion KRW) ▲Madong District Multipurpose Rural Water Development Project (10 billion KRW) ▲Improvement Project for Donghae Jangjwa to Yangchon (National Road No. 77) (8 billion KRW) ▲Expansion and Paving Project for Goseong to Tongyeong (National Road No. 77) (27.9 billion KRW), and requested national funding support.
They also reported on the progress of Goseong-gun’s local issues linked to the National Assembly member’s campaign pledges (21 pledges, 29 detailed projects) and requested continuous interest by proposing ▲Change in construction method for the Southern Inland Railway ▲Adjustment of matching ratio for provincial subsidy projects to ensure smooth project implementation.
