[Itaewon Disaster] Five Deceased Were Residents of Incheon... Whereabouts of Five Missing Persons Being Confirmed

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Among the 153 people who died in the Halloween festival crush accident in Itaewon, Seoul, 5 were confirmed to be residents of Incheon.
According to Incheon City on the 30th, as of 5 p.m. that day, the deceased with addresses in Incheon related to the 'Itaewon Halloween disaster' included 4 women and 1 Uzbek male.
A city official stated, "We confirmed the identities of the deceased from Incheon through the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency," and added, "The exact number of deaths by region will be compiled and announced by the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety."
Meanwhile, as of now, the total number of missing persons reported in the Incheon area is 56, of whom 51 have been confirmed alive and located.
The remaining 5 are currently being searched for. Their addresses are 1 in Bupyeong-gu, 2 in Gyeyang, 1 in Seo-gu, and 1 with an unknown address.

Incheon City has dispatched 16 city officials to a total of 46 hospitals, including Goraedaegu-ro Hospital, to assess the damage situation of Incheon citizens. The police have also dispatched one company and 18 staff members from the victim protection team to respond.
