On the morning of the 30th, the Ministry of Employment and Labor announced, "Minister Lee has instructed cooperation in support related to accident recovery and various assistance, the activation of emergency duty by the Industrial Safety Headquarters and the Seoul Regional Office, and the establishment of public service discipline."
The ministry explained that at 2 p.m. on the same day, a meeting will be held with heads of various departments and regional offices to discuss industrial accident prevention and support for on-site safety measures related to various regional festival events.
The previous day, a massive crowd gathered in the Itaewon area of Yongsan-gu, Seoul, ahead of Halloween Day, resulting in a large-scale crush disaster that caused 151 deaths and 82 injuries.

Among the 82 injured, 19 are seriously injured and 63 have minor injuries. The seriously injured include patients in cardiac arrest, so there is a possibility that some may be reclassified as deceased. Most of the victims are identified as being in their teens to twenties.
