Fire Agency: "142 Reports of Earthquake Detection in Goesan... No Damage Reported So Far"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] At around 8:27 a.m. on the 29th, a magnitude 4.1 earthquake occurred 11 km northeast of Goesan-gun, Chungbuk, and the Fire Agency reported that 142 earthquake sensation reports were received by 11 a.m.
Chungbuk had the highest number with 68 reports, followed by Gyeonggi with 42. Gangwon had 21 reports, Gyeongbuk had 10, and there was 1 report from Gyeongnam.
The Fire Agency explained that there have been no dispatches or damage reported so far.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety activated Level 1 of the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (CDSCH) at 8:30 a.m. on the same day, immediately after the earthquake occurred.
The CDSCH urged people through disaster messages that no damage has occurred so far and requested that they respond according to earthquake action guidelines in case of additional earthquakes.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, this earthquake is the largest magnitude earthquake to occur on the Korean Peninsula this year.
