Hapcheon-gun Launches Public Participation Pledge Evaluation Group for the 8th Elected Term
Repayment to County Residents through Faithful Pledge Fulfillment, Appointment of 35 Members in 4 Fields

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 28th that it has awarded appointment certificates to the Hapcheon-gun Pledge Evaluation Group of the 8th local government term in the large conference room of the county office and has begun full-scale activities to build trust and consensus on pledge fulfillment through resident participation rates.
The 8th local government term Hapcheon-gun Pledge Evaluation Group was formed with 35 resident representatives and experts who can represent opinions from various sectors based on gender ratio, residence, and expertise through two rounds of public recruitment and department head recommendations from August to September. Their term lasts until the end of June 2026, when the 8th local government term concludes.
The evaluation group is divided into four subcommittees: Construction, Transportation, Environment; Agriculture, Forestry, Livestock; Culture, Tourism, Sports; Education, Welfare, Health. They will be responsible for inspecting the implementation status, evaluating completion, and providing policy suggestions for 86 pledge projects.

County Governor Kim Yoon-cheol said, “Since the launch of the 8th local government term, I have visited many places and met many residents over the past four months, drawing the blueprint for our county’s development. Starting next year, it will be the time to actively implement pledge projects and demonstrate their outcomes. I ask the evaluation group to participate as fair evaluators. We will repay the residents with sincere pledge fulfillment going forward.”
