[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] On the 28th, Han Dong-hoon, Minister of Justice, commented on the allegations of a 'late-night drinking party' raised by Kim Eui-gyeom, a member of the Democratic Party of Korea, saying, "It is regrettable that the Democratic Party seems to be putting all their efforts into low-quality fake news."
Minister Han made these remarks to reporters as he entered the Government Complex Gwacheon for the 77th Correction Day ceremony, stating, "Kim Eui-gyeom, who has been spreading low-quality fake news, is avoiding the media despite being a spokesperson."
Regarding Woo Sang-ho, who defended Representative Kim on a broadcast, Minister Han referred to the 2000 'May 18 Gwangju drinking party' incident, saying, "Since he himself behaves that way, he seems to think everyone else does too."
In response to the Democratic Party's criticism that the prosecution is investigating election funds based solely on Yoo Dong-gyu's testimony, he rebutted, "Do they want to claim that the court issued a warrant based on only Yoo Dong-gyu's testimony?" adding, "That is an unreasonable claim."
