The Department of Early Childhood Education at Gyeongnam Information University held a 'Good Teacher Pledge Ceremony' on the 27th in preparation for the third-year students' school field practice starting in November.
Professors of the department and first- and second-year students attended the event together.
The pledge ceremony consisted of about 50 third-year students holding candles and marching on stage while a video containing each student's resolution was played in the venue, reaffirming their commitment to becoming good teachers.
Following encouraging speeches from the department professors, the event concluded with a cheer video produced by the first- and second-year students.
Third-year student representative An Seong-eun said, "With the warm encouragement and support from professors and juniors, I will become a good teacher with the right attitude and mindset based on what I have learned and felt over the past three years."
Kim Shin-gon, head of the Department of Early Childhood Education, said, "We expect that today's pledge by our students to become good teachers as they have learned at university will be a strong support for their future teaching careers."
