According to The Times on the 27th, Zhang Ziyi, a top Chinese star famous for the movie "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," stated, "In the future, I will follow President Xi's instructions and adhere to China's cultural attitude, sing the passion of this era, and tell China's story in a better way."
She added, "As an artist and cultural worker, I have earnestly studied and understood the General Secretary's demands," saying that Xi's remarks are educational and inspiring, clarifying the direction of efforts she will devote to her future acting career.
Donnie Yen, a leading Hong Kong action actor and film/martial arts director, also publicly expressed support to play a more positive role in guiding young people. Donnie Yen said on CCTV, "Under the leadership of the new leadership with General Secretary Xi Jinping at its core, China will surely declare a new era in film production." Famous actors such as Tong Dawei (43) and Liu Tao (44) also pledged to dedicate themselves as art workers following the directives of the Chinese Communist Party.
