Muan-gun Attracts Investment for Large-Scale Complex Logistics Center in Mongtan-myeon
Camp Valley Co., Ltd. to Develop Complex Logistics Complex... Signs 54 Billion KRW Investment Agreement
[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Jeonnam Muan-gun has seen fruitful results from active investment attraction efforts to become a central city for advanced industries, logistics, and international exchange.
On the 27th, Muan-gun signed an investment agreement worth 54 billion KRW for the establishment of a complex logistics complex in Sacheon-ri, Mongtan-myeon, Muan-gun, with Kim San, the governor of Muan-gun, and Kim Beom-jun, CEO of Camp Valley Co., Ltd., attending at the county office.
Camp Valley Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of China's Geoxin Group and distributes camping goods and indoor furniture produced at its overseas factories within Korea.
Thanks to the rapidly increasing domestic camping demand, it has been growing quickly in the domestic camping goods distribution sector, winning the ‘2022 Brand of the Year Award’ hosted by the Korea Consumer Brand Committee.
Accordingly, Camp Valley Co., Ltd. plans to invest 54 billion KRW to build a complex logistics complex in Sacheon-ri, Mongtan-myeon, Muan-gun, to respond to the growing domestic camping goods market.
The project will cover a site of 64,300㎡, including infrastructure development, expansion of logistics warehouses, and construction of training centers and research institutes, with completion scheduled by 2025.
The county expects that this successful investment attraction will activate Muan International Airport, the local economy, and tourism through job creation for local talent in logistics and management, and the construction of an international training center to be used by about 7,000 overseas employees of Geoxin Group within the complex.
Governor Kim San said, “The complex logistics complex to be established will become the hub of domestic camping goods distribution,” and added, “We thank Camp Valley Co., Ltd. for deciding on this large-scale investment and will spare no administrative support for the success of the project.”
