The K-UAM Dream Team, including Korea Airports Corporation, SK Telecom, Hanwha Systems, and T Map Mobility, will present a super-collaborative business model that combines the strengths of Daegu City, private companies, public enterprises, and local governments at the ‘Daegu Future Mobility Expo.’ They pledged to cooperate jointly to accelerate the commercialization of UAM services.
According to this agreement, transportation facilities such as UAM air shuttles will be established to improve access to the Daegu-Gyeongbuk Integrated New Airport, strengthening the transportation network connecting the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions with the new airport. They plan to create a metropolitan transportation network by forming a wide-area UAM network that connects regions lacking land transportation infrastructure such as roads and railways with downtown Daegu.
Yoon Hyung-jung, President of Korea Airports Corporation, stated, “We will do our best to commercialize UAM in Daegu by integrating the know-how and technology of Korea Airports Corporation, which has been responsible for aviation safety in Korea for over 40 years, with the future technology, capital of SK Telecom, Hanwha Systems, and T Map Mobility, and the support of Daegu Metropolitan City.” He emphasized, “We will continue relentless challenges through cooperation with the private sector.”
