[Concall] Samsung Expects Foundry Market Recovery in Second Half of Next Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Pyeonghwa] Samsung Electronics stated in a conference call held after the earnings announcement on the 27th that, based on customer demand data, the foundry market is expected to recover starting in the second half of next year.
Samsung Electronics said, "In the case of 2023, there is short-term demand uncertainty until the first half due to the impact of the global economic slowdown," and added, "We expect the market to recover in the second half as inventory backlog is cleared and demand from applications such as HPC (High-Performance Computing) and automotive remains strong."
