Police Launch Internal Investigation into Online Sales of 'BTS Jungkook Hat'
The police have begun an investigation into the secondhand sale incident involving a 'BTS Jungkook hat.' The case concerns someone claiming to be a Ministry of Foreign Affairs employee who attempted to sell a hat presumed to belong to BTS member Jungkook without permission.
According to the police on the 25th, the Seocho Police Station in Seoul is investigating Mr. A, who tried to sell the hat online at a high price, claiming it was "a hat Jungkook used to wear."
On the 17th, Mr. A posted on a secondhand trading site that Jungkook left the hat behind when he visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to make a passport, and that he was selling it for 10 million won.
After controversy arose, Mr. A deleted the sales post and on the 18th turned himself in at a police box in Yongin, Gyeonggi Province, submitting the hat. The case was transferred to the Seocho Police Station in Seoul, which has jurisdiction over the Foreign Security Center, presumed to be Mr. A's workplace.
